Affiliate Marketing, Pay per Click Affiliate Programs

The quickest and most effective way to make money online is the pay per click affiliate business model. Given adequate tutoring, anybody with rudimentary computer skills can learn to become financially independent through Pay Per Click affiliate marketing.

The idea of making money as an affiliate is to place small ads to promote third party products. As the affiliate, you earn a share of the sale generated from your marketing efforts. Do a search on Google using the term "earn money online" and notice the small ads at the top and on the right side under "sponsored links". These are the small ads placed by affiliates to earn lots of money! Many of these affiliate marketers are even able to quit their day jobs and make a very comfortable living doing affiliate marketing programs. There are also well known super affiliate marketers who earn millions of dollars as affiliates selling other vendors products. These affiliate programs are used by even the Fortune 500 companies to complement their own advertising campaigns. A major hub for for affiliate products is ClickBank where all products sold are info products. Most of these affiliate programs pay anywhere from 50% to 75% of the sales price. So a single sale could net you 50-100 dollars. Another popular source of products to promote is Amazon. As an affiliate, you promote physical products which could sell for hundreds of dollars.

These are the basic things you need to do:

Decide on a niche that people are buying online. For example dieting, mortgage, loans, etc. This requires you to research the niche to make sure that enough people are searching for the need or service of your niche.

Find out what keywords are used by people searching for your niche.

Find out what products are being offered to satisfy the needs or services of your niche. The products are usually offered through affiliate networks so you have to apply an account (free) on these networks. You will be given a tracking code so your sales and commissions can be tracked.

Create web page(s), also called landing pages, that will pre-sell your customer of the benefits and features of the product or services that you are selling.

Your mission is to get the visitor to click your affiliate link that leads to the vendor's site where further selling is performed and hopefully an order is placed.

And you earn money! Easy affiliate business model!

Traffic, Traffic, Traffic ...

To earn lots of money, you now need to get lots of visitors to your web pages. There are various ways to get visitors but the two most prominent are:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The idea is to do search engine optimization, both on-page and off-page, of your web pages so that when a visitor searches for your keyword(s), you are able to place high in the search engine (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc) results. The idea is that the higher you rank, the more visitors will visit your web page. The advantage of this method is that the traffic is "free". The disadvantage is that it is extremely difficult to rank high in the search engines specially for very competitive keywords. You may have to spend a fair amount of money to optimize your web pages.

Buy your traffic from the Pay per Click Engines. The major Pay per Click engines are Google, Yahoo and MSN. The idea is for you to bid on keywords to be shown on the sponsored links section of the search engines or on other websites that sell ad space (Adsense, etc) on their pages. The key is to be able to generate income more than what you spend buying traffic.

Selling other people's products as an affiliate is probably the fastest and most effective work at home computer business that will allow you to be independent and free from your 9-to-5 shackles. You can become your own boss and work your own hours. Your reward is only limited by the amount of work and dedication that you put in. To be a successful affiliate, however, will require you to be smart and creative in your thinking.
